Youth Worker in training (50%)

Mellingen is the regional center for the municipalities in the lower Reusstal and at the same time the place of residence of over 6000 inhabitants.

As of 1 August 2027, we are offering a study-accompanying training position (50%) for students in the fields of Social Work, Sociocultural Animation or Community Animation for a limited duration of max. four years (August 2027 to July 2031) at Jugendarbeit Mellingen-Wohlenschwil. The open youth work operates a youth office and creates diverse youth culture projects and offers with and for the target groups. It works together with local partners, institutions and authorities. For the implementation of the projects, the promotion of action and social competences is the focus of the activities. Actions are taken within the framework of voluntariness, participation, openness, low-threshold access, non-formal education, resource and life-world orientation.

Due to the gender distribution in the team, female applicants will be preferred in order to complement the youth work position.

Main tasks ###

• Supervising the youth office during meeting times
• Launching and implementing youth culture projects
• Animation, guidance and support of the target groups
• Collaboration on various offers of the youth work
• Networking with local partners, institutions and authorities
• Completion of general administrative tasks

Requirement profile ###

• Study place at an FH or HF
• High sense of responsibility, independence, flexibility and initiative
• Open and interested interaction with adolescents and young adults
• Willingness to work irregular hours
• Sociability and conflict resolution skills
• Basic PC knowledge
• Ideally, you possess a driving license Kat. B
