The training to become a Polymechaniker/in EFZ at Lonza in Stein (AG) offers you an exciting opportunity as well as a wide spectrum of technical skills to learn. In this four-year apprenticeship, you will be systematically prepared to manufacture high-precision workpieces and components, as well as to maintain machines and systems and control complex production processes. During your apprenticeship, a special focus lies on the manufacturing of precision parts, which are intended for the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry and require the highest precision and accuracy. In vocational school, you will learn technical fundamentals such as mathematics, informatics, learning and working techniques, as well as physics, supplemented by technical English as another school subject. The training also includes materials and manufacturing technology, drawing and machine technology, as well as electrical and control technology. Additionally, you will attend intercompany courses (üK) at our partner company aprentas in Liestal (BL), where you can further develop and deepen your practical skills in a realistic environment. Your tasks: Manufacture of tools and production equipment; Assembly of electrical and mechanical components; Execution of repair and maintenance work; Preparation of fault reports as well as the rectification of technical malfunctions; Planning, implementation, and monitoring of small projects. Your requirement profile: School leaving certificate at medium or upper level (with very good performance also basic level) or Matura/Abitur; Good technical understanding; Analytical thinking skills and spatial imagination; Fine motor skills for exact work; Patience, endurance, and ability to concentrate; Enjoyment of technology.
