Development Engineer / R&D Engineer Fiber Optic Cables (m/f/d) We are Solifos – a fiber optic cable manufacturer with 25+ years of experience in fiber optic sensing and tactical communication systems. For our development team, we are looking for you: someone who does not just design cables, but plays the whole game – product, process, equipment, qualification. Development Engineer / R&D Engineer Fiber Optic Cables (m/f/d) Your Role You lead and coordinate development projects of fiber optic cables for sensing and mobile communication systems You develop and design fiber optic cables and cable systems You procure production equipment for cable manufacturing and commission it You develop the associated production processes and adapt them You create and maintain the project-related documentation You take on technical product responsibility – from qualification to the end of the life cycle You plan, execute, and evaluate series of tests and product qualifications – and document them You create the process documentation (production instructions, quality assurance plans) You process internal and external error reports, analyze the causes, and implement corrective measures What you bring Completed FH degree in mechanical engineering or process engineering Experience in the management and execution of development and industrialization projects, incl. project management Interdisciplinary knowledge in mechanics, fiber optics, and electronics Sound knowledge in the verification and validation of test series Independent, reliable, and goal-oriented way of working Good German and English skills in spoken and written form Desire to continuously think into new topics in a broad and dynamic field Why Solifos?
