Monitoring & Alerting Engineer (60%) | Public Sector | Bern | Until the end of 2026 with possible extension For our client from the public sector, we are looking for an experienced Monitoring & Alerting Engineer who will play a key role in the design and further development of a modern monitoring landscape. Location: Bern (on-site) Start: ASAP / by arrangement Contract type: Personnel leasing via Hays Workload: 60% - On-site in Bern Duration: Until the end of 2026 with option for extension Your tasks • Development of a holistic monitoring and alerting concept for a data center infrastructure • Implementation and configuration of the monitoring solution based on Zabbix • Definition of thresholds, alerting logics, and escalation processes • Establishment of 7x24 monitoring for first-level support • Implementation of event, availability, and capacity management • Evaluation and integration of supplementary tools and extensions • Creation of architecture, process, and operational documentation as well as handover to operations Your profile • Several years of experience in the setup and operation of monitoring and alerting solutions • Sound knowledge of Zabbix (templates, triggers, dashboards, alerting) • Experience in monitoring network, firewall, server, and storage environments • Good knowledge of ITSM processes (event, availability, and capacity management) • Experience with 7x24 operational and escalation models • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working • Very good German skills, English is an advantage What awaits you • Opportunity to actively help shape a holistic monitoring concept • High professional impact in a demanding infrastructure environment • Collaboration with experienced operational and infrastructure teams • Long-term perspective with extension option
