The youth promotion course offers young people with disabilities a one-year program for career choice as well as targeted preparation for future training. In a group-dynamically designed learning field, participants acquire key qualifications and complete initial professional experiences.

Teacher for adolescents in vocational integration 80 %

Your mission

You design and are responsible for the school lessons for 5-7 adolescents and young adults in a vocational measure. You develop individual educational offers with the goal of preparing the adolescents for entry into an initial vocational training. In doing so, you promote academic and personal competencies. You align the lessons with the requirements of the intended professional fields and training levels. You create a reliable learning framework in which the individual abilities, resources, and the respective support needs of the adolescents are taken into account. Additionally, you document learning progress and relevant observations and write reports within the framework of the vocational integration process.

One day per week, you lead the work training. There, you can contribute your manual skills and enable the adolescents and young adults to have a practical approach to "work and learning".

Depending on demand, assignments in other settings of the youth promotion course are possible, particularly in the craft workshop, gastronomy, the textile atelier, as well as in vocational preparation.

Your profile

• Completed studies in social pedagogy, special education, or teaching diploma (comparable qualification with corresponding experience possible)
• Teaching experience with persons with special educational needs
• Experience in designing individual and holistic educational offers
• Openness to working in an innovative team and contributing (social-)pedagogical knowledge
• Interest in accompanying adolescents and young adults in challenging and stressful situations and crises
• Enjoyment of networking work and writing reports
• Manual dexterity is an advantage; knowledge around bicycles is a plus, but not a requirement
