Are you motivated and want to contribute to moving the Canton of Bern forward? Is it important to you to create real added value for audited departments and taxpayers? Then strengthen our team of around 20 people in the Finanzkontrolle!

Your tasks

• Leadership and coordination of audit teams during annual financial statement and financial supervision audits
• Management of the entire audit process
• Evaluation and auditing of processes, internal control systems, accounting, and budget execution at cantonal institutions (e.g., taxes, universities, construction, clinics, police, justice, and more)
• Ensuring compliance with deadlines, achievement of audit objectives, and quality, combined with the monitoring of audit-related controlling
• Creating added value and security with professional audit judgments/reports

Your profile

• Degree as a dipl. Wirtschaftsprüfer/in or CIA -- or about to complete it
• Experience in external auditing
• Dynamic personality with strong analytical, conceptual, and business thinking combined with high social competence
• Independent way of working, high quality awareness
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation with IT and construction auditors as well as legal experts

Do you know us? The Finanzkontrolle is the supreme specialist body for financial supervision. As a competent and reliable partner of parliament, government, administration, and justice, the goal of the Finanzkontrolle, together with the around 20 specialists, is to create added value in addition to security and trust. As an independent auditor, the Finanzkontrolle audits, among other things, the annual accounts of the Canton with a balance sheet total of around CHF 12 Mrd. The financial supervision of the Finanzkontrolle includes the audit of regularity and legality as well as the efficiency of budget execution and, in connection with subsidies, the appropriateness of the use of funds.
