The Technology and Innovation Directorate (DTI) of the Insel Gruppe is responsible for the planning, further development, and operation of the ICT and medical technology landscape of one of the leading hospital companies in Switzerland. The Server & Storage team ensures central platform and basic services for the operation of the critical ICT infrastructure - from server and virtualization platforms to storage and backup, up to central platforms for clinical operations. What to expect • Technical and personnel management of the Server & Storage team in a highly critical hospital environment • Overall responsibility for the operation, stability, and further development of central server, virtualization, storage, and platform services • Technical leadership in solution design and in the further development of future-proof infrastructure platforms • Responsibility for business-critical platforms and services in the environment of Epic, Citrix, as well as other central infrastructure services • Further development of a modern enterprise platform landscape based on Nutanix, VMware, Windows Server, Linux, as well as modern storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies • Leadership and further development of the team with a focus on stability, quality, and sustainable knowledge building • Management of external providers and partners in the responsible service area • Collaboration on strategic infrastructure, datacenter, storage, and transformation projects in the tension between operation, digitalization, and innovation • Participation in the 7x24h on-call service to ensure the stable operation of the critical ICT infrastructure What you bring with you • Several years of experience in the engineering and operation of complex server, virtualization, database, and storage environments in an enterprise context • Profound technical knowledge in the construction and operation of data centers with technologies such as Nutanix, VMware, Windows Server, Linux, Citrix, as well as storage and backup platforms • Experience in the operation of highly available and business-critical ICT platforms, datacenter, and storage services • Enjoyment in taking on technical responsibility and implementing viable solutions together with the team • Initial leadership experience and motivation to take on responsibility for people, the team, and further development • Calm, pragmatic, and solution-oriented way of working - even in demanding operational and disruption situations • Experience in managing projects and contracts with external providers and partners, ideally in the context of public-law structures • Very good German skills as well as good English skills in speaking and writing Our offer • A technically demanding leadership role with meaning and impact in a highly critical ICT environment • The possibility to actively help shape and further develop central infrastructure platforms • An experienced and committed team with an important mission • A versatile infrastructure and system landscape with high criticality and exciting challenges • Interesting projects and ventures in the tension between operation, further development, and digitalization • High degree of creative freedom and much personal responsibility in a professional environment • Flexible working hours as well as the possibility to perform up to 40% of the activity in the home office • Attractive employment conditions and a centrally located workplace in Bern
