Senior Specialist in Execution of Prison Leaves in Job Sharing, each Justice Execution and Reintegration Justice Execution Institution Pöschwies Senior Specialist in Execution of Prison Leaves in Job Sharing, each 70% Justice Execution and Reintegration (JuWe) is responsible, as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich, for the execution of criminal and administrative sanctions as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees, the successful social reintegration of people who have committed crimes and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. The Justice Execution Institution Pöschwies (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe. The JVA Pöschwies is, with 399 places, the largest closed justice execution institution in Switzerland for men. It fulfills a central state task and takes into account the legal mandate of resocialization of the detained persons and the protection of the general public. Execution of prison leaves is a central step in the transition back to freedom. They enable detained persons to gradually take on responsibility and test themselves in everyday life outside the institution. This makes an important contribution to resocialization, stabilization, and social integration. The examination of applications for leaves and exits requires a high degree of care, sense of responsibility, and judgment. For this demanding specialist function, we are looking for two experienced and socially competent personalities who will take on the task together in job sharing and convince with professionalism, resilience, and a structured approach to work. Your tasks Independent assessment of applications for leaves and exits in the closed and open execution of the JVA Pöschwies Development of well-founded and comprehensible statements on escape, public, and recidivism risks as a basis for decision-making for the management and referring authorities Structured, precise, and target-group-oriented preparation of complex issues Ensuring compliance with conditions and requirements of approved execution of prison leaves Close cooperation with the social service, management, and external authorities in the context of execution planning Participation in the further development of professional standards and support in training accompanying persons in the area of leave and exit Maintenance of a trusting and close exchange within the job-sharing team What you bring Degree at a higher vocational or university level, preferably in a commercial or social environment Several years of professional experience (at least 10 years) in a demanding administrative, social, or official environment Experience in structured processing of complex cases and in writing precise written assessments A high degree of independence as well as the ability to decide carefully and responsibly, even in demanding situations Stylistically correct German language skills in word and writing, additional languages are an advantage Enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation and exchange with different stakeholder groups Secure handling of digital work tools and common office applications Discretion, professionalism, and an impeccable reputation Our offer Varied and demanding activity with high personal responsibility – ideal for an established or newly formed job-sharing duo Meaningful task with changing challenges and diverse further training opportunities Careful and comprehensive induction by the current post holder Easily accessible workplace with optimal connection to public transport and available parking spaces Opportunity to participate in shaping the working model Attractive employment conditions according to cantonal guidelines Your application Take the next step in your career with us and send us your application via our online tool.
