Servicemitarbeiter (m/w) 20-60%

In the heart of Basel, the «noma» has been combining modern Japanese cuisine with excellent bar competence and an internationally curated wine selection since March 2026. A place for connoisseurs, where aesthetics, craftsmanship and contemporary luxury merge into an unforgettable experience.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced person as a service employee (m/w/d) on an hourly basis (between 20% and 60%) to strengthen our team immediately or by agreement.
Areas of responsibility

• Friendly and professional reception as well as care of our guests
• Taking orders and expert advice on food and drinks
• Serving drinks and food according to the company's quality standards
• Ensuring a smooth service process
• Preparation and mise-en-place work in the service area
• Operation of the cash register system as well as correct billing
• Ensuring order, cleanliness and hygiene according to the applicable regulations

Requirements profile

• At least 1 year of professional experience in the service area of gastronomy
• Enjoyment of dealing with guests and pronounced service orientation
• Good German language skills; English language skills; further languages an advantage
• Experience in handling cash register systems an advantage
• Basic knowledge of hygiene regulations in gastronomy
• Friendly, well-groomed and professional appearance
• High reliability and sense of responsibility
• Stress tolerance and flexibility, especially during evening and weekend shifts
• Teamwork and good communication skills
• Independent and structured way of working
• Positive charisma and joy in gastronomy
