STRATEGIC PROCUREMENT MANAGER

In this role, the strategic buyer develops and manages the long-term procurement strategy as well as the cooperation with suppliers.

These are your tasks

• Creation and implementation of commodity group and supplier strategies
• Worldwide analysis of procurement markets and identification of suppliers
• Active management of risk management
• Qualification and evaluation of potential and existing suppliers
• Participation in supplier audits in cooperation with the SQM team
• Ensuring the general contractual basis
• Contact person for new developments
• Identification, implementation and documentation of savings potential

What you bring with you

• Technical and/or business administration training with corresponding further training in procurement
• Several years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably in the field of sheet metal processing and assembly procurement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good negotiation skills as well as technical affinity
• Good communication and presentation skills in an international environment
• Business fluent language skills in German and English, both written and oral
• Routine handling of SAP ERP System and MS-Office
• Willingness to undertake international business travel
