Rüti ZH is an attractive and dynamic residential and working community with around 13'000 inhabitants -- embedded in a local recreation area on the southeastern edge of the Canton of Zurich. Since 1 January 2022, the school and the municipality have been organized as a single municipality. Around 1'300 pupils attend the Rüti school in the three managed school units Primarschulen Unterdorf and Oberdorf as well as the Sekundarschule. The day structures and the school administration support the various school participants in everyday school life. As part of a succession arrangement, we are looking for an experienced leadership personality with passion for the topic of education as Head of Education 80 to 100% immediately or by arrangement. Your challenges * Leadership and development of the education sector to ensure high educational quality and continuous school development * Implementation of political and strategic goals * Personnel leadership of the eight school leaders, the head of the special education department as well as the head of day structures * Job and personnel planning in the education sector * Communication and public relations in cooperation with various departments * Cost center responsibility for the education sector * Advice and support for the school board, especially in pedagogical, school law and education-specific topics. Your profile * You have a pedagogical education and ideally bring professional experience in the Volksschule * Ideally, you have an additional qualification in school management or a comparable MAS degree as well as experience in project management * Proven leadership experience with a flair for the development of people and organizations distinguishes you * With solid social and methodological competence, you solve daily challenges systematically, efficiently and in a practical manner * Your resilience is high and even in hectic times you maintain your calm and your humor * You possess the ability to communicate in a solution-oriented manner appropriate to the situation and to pursue creative ideas in a structured way * Knowledge of the Volksschulwesen of the Canton of Zurich completes your profile.
