Werkheim Neuschwende is a socio-therapeutic institution that offers living and working spaces to 33 adults, primarily with cognitive impairments. The residents, who live and work in various residential groups and forms, are at the center of our work. Werkheim Neuschwende is located within sight of Trogen in the beautiful Appenzellerland. The socio-therapeutic work and the cooperation of the employees are oriented towards the foundations of the anthroposophical understanding of humanity. Due to retirement, we are looking for a personality with a lot of heart, foresight, and passion, who wishes to develop a sustainable impact with us, starting in Autumn 2027. Institutional Management with 80% to 100% Your tasks include: • Operational leadership and further development of the entire institution as well as its representation internally and externally • Leadership, promotion, and further development of the employees • Trusted contact person for residents and their relatives • Ensuring professionally sound and high-quality service delivery • Cooperation with associations, cantonal authorities, and the board • Maintenance of relationships with municipalities, the neighborhood, and relevant network partners • Collegial cooperation with the deputy and the financial officer You bring with you: • a personality with charisma and presence that can inspire and motivate people • training in special education, social therapy, or social pedagogy • a sound connection to the anthroposophical understanding of humanity or the willingness to engage with it • commitment to the participation, inclusion, and self-determination of people with support needs • experience in leadership, ideally supplemented by further training in institutional management or the willingness to complete such training • strong communication and social skills and self-efficacy • a positive view of humanity and joy in working together with the approximately 60 employees to achieve something valuable and to further develop the institution.
