Your tasks • With us, you will take responsibility for the development and further development of sophisticated software solutions and new features - from conception through implementation to a successful go-live. • In doing so, you ensure that functional and technical requirements are met and that our solutions convince in terms of performance, quality, and security. • You accompany the entire software lifecycle and ensure sustainable stability with clean code, meaningful tests, and clear documentation. • Our systems have grown over many years. You will also take care of the maintenance and targeted refactoring of our existing solutions, ensuring they remain reliable and future-proof, and drive their gradual modernization forward with the team. • Using modern development and architecture approaches as well as the appropriate tools, you bring structure, transparency, and efficiency to our software projects. • You use AI-supported tools productively in your daily development routine and help to integrate them meaningfully and responsibly into our way of working. • You develop AI-based functions (ML and LLM features) for our products and processes - with a view to real benefit for our customers, reliability, and data protection. • You handle exciting incidents and thus support our customers and internal support with technical problems. What you bring with you • Completed education FH, Uni in computer science or comparable qualification • Several years of sound experience in PHP development, ideally also with Laravel and PHP 8.x • Confident handling of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and complex SQL queries • Practical experience in the design and implementation of RESTful APIs as well as integration of third-party APIs and external services • Professional knowledge in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 as well as understanding of modern frontend paradigms and the willingness to use them in the future • Willingness and experience to co-develop existing legacy systems and modernize them gradually • Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code and DevOps principles • Practical experience with AI tools in daily development and with the integration of machine-learning or LLM-based features in production environments • An open mindset towards AI, paired with the necessary respect: you deal with AI consciously and critically, check its results, know its limits, and think about security and data protection from the beginning • Proficient in using Git and established branching strategies • Independence, willingness to learn, and strong analytical skills • Initiative and the ability to drive even demanding software projects forward independently • Very good German in spoken and written form as well as good English skills What you ideally bring additionally • Experience with at least one other programming language besides PHP and openness to polyglot architectures • Experience in development with Elixir and the ecosystem (Phoenix, LiveView) • In-depth knowledge of Python in the context of machine-learning and LLM applications • Experience with cloud-native architectures • Practical experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines • Experience and enjoyment in the migration of legacy applications to modern architectures • Experience with agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban) What we offer you • Varied tasks with a lot of personal responsibility and creative freedom • An environment in which you can both maintain proven systems and drive innovations with new technologies and AI • Modernly equipped office premises in a central location in Basel with very good connections to public transport • Flexible annual working hours and at least five weeks of vacation • Possibility for home office, workations, mobile working • Generous budget for your personal workplace equipment • Learning and further education budget (financial and temporal) • Free drinks and fresh fruit in the office Get in touch Became curious?
