As of January 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for an administrative assistant for the administration of our GAV area.

Who we are

Aquilaw AG is a legal advisory and fiduciary office in Zürich focusing on collective labor law. On behalf of Parity Commissions, we carry out payroll audits and check whether companies comply with the provisions of the collective labor agreements (GAV). In addition, we advise SMEs, start-ups, associations, and NGOs on legal issues and fiduciary matters.

We work according to high ethical standards and give something back to society through donations and voluntary commitment. Our team consists of people with different workloads and life situations. Therefore, we design working hours flexibly and take ideas from the team seriously.

Your role

The administrative threads of our GAV area converge with you. You are in direct contact with the Parity Commissions: their audit mandates come across your desk, you record them, prepare the documents, and clarify queries regarding the status of the audits. You coordinate everything with the companies, from requesting payroll documents to scheduling appointments. You cover most of the in-house telephone service, supported by employees on a student workload. For many companies and commissions, you are thus the first point of contact for Aquilaw.

With us, you will get to know payroll audits and other elements of the enforcement of collective labor law. We will introduce you step-by-step to the audits, and over time you will handle your own files: you will reconcile recorded working hours with the payslips, calculate any wage shortfalls, and record the results in the audit report.

It is an advantage if you have experience in payroll accounting. In this case, you will also take over payroll mandates for our fiduciary clients.

Your tasks

  • Receipt, recording, and management of audit mandates
  • Ongoing exchange with the Parity Commissions
  • Correspondence with companies and clients
  • Telephone service
  • Preparation and structured filing of audit documents
  • Participation in payroll audits after training, with the goal of independent execution
  • Management of payroll mandates with appropriate experience
  • General administration, maintenance of the office infrastructure, as well as processing incoming and outgoing mail

Your profile

  • Completed commercial basic training or comparable training; career changers and returners are welcome
  • Professional and life experience that gives you confidence in contact with companies and commissions
  • Enjoyment of precise work with numbers and tables; you maintain an overview even with extensive payroll data
  • Organizational talent: You stay calm when telephone, mail, and orders arrive simultaneously, and you tackle practical things in the office yourself
  • Good Excel skills or the willingness to develop them specifically
  • Proficient German in speaking and writing and a friendly, clear appearance on the telephone and in person
  • Interest in labor law and in working with collective labor agreements
  • Advantageous: Experience in payroll accounting

What we offer

  • Flexible working hours
  • 6 weeks of vacation from the 2nd year of employment
  • Careful training in payroll audits and GAV enforcement, as well as the opportunity to develop further in payroll accounting
  • An activity with a social connection: Our audits ensure that the minimum conditions of the GAV are actually complied with
  • An open, collegial team and bright office rooms near the Römerhof stop
  • Regular team lunches, coverage of the half-fare travelcard (Halbtaxabonnement) and the annual bicycle service

For information, Luca Maggi and Benjamin Weppler are available at 044 261 11 77.
