Senior Engineering Project Manager (100%) - (m/f/d)

In this versatile role, you will lead demanding investment and plant projects in a GMP-regulated production environment and accompany them from the feasibility study to successful commissioning. In doing so, you will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and contribute significantly to the future-proof and efficient further development of our production facilities.

Competencies and responsibilities

• You lead complex CapEx projects in the areas of production, infrastructure, and utility systems from the concept phase to successful implementation and qualification.
• You are responsible for schedule, cost, quality, and resource planning and ensure the successful implementation of your projects.
• You coordinate interdisciplinary project teams as well as internal and external stakeholders from production, Quality, Engineering, Utilities, and other specialist departments.
• You plan technical changes to existing production facilities and ensure their GMP-compliant implementation.
• You support cross-site engineering and investment projects and actively contribute innovative technical solutions.
• You conduct project reporting as well as status presentations for management and ensure transparent communication regarding project progress, risks, and milestones.
• You support the continuous further development of project management standards, processes, and tools within the engineering area.
• You ensure that all projects are implemented in compliance with applicable cGMP, quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications and professional experience

• Completed studies (Bachelor or Master) in the field of mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Several years of experience in leading complex investment or plant projects (CapEx), ideally in the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, or chemical industry.
• Sound experience in a GMP or GxP-regulated environment as well as knowledge of qualification and validation processes. Experience in stakeholder management and in working with interdisciplinary teams at different hierarchical levels.
• Structured and proactive way of working as well as the ability to maintain an overview and set priorities correctly, even under high time and cost pressure.
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and organizational talent.
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with different production areas and new technical topics.
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
