Veterinary Assistant 40 - 100 % Bern

Versatile small animal medicine at a high level, in an interdisciplinary specialist team with state-of-the-art technology. In the Thun area, Canton Bern, we are looking for a Veterinary Assistant EFZ or a Veterinary Assistant EFZ with a workload of 40 – 100 % starting immediately or by arrangement. In a leading small animal clinic in the Bernese Oberland, you will accompany pets as well as their owners through a modern, varied, and medically diverse clinic daily routine. You will support different specialist areas, work with state-of-the-art technology, and take on a central role in the team. What awaits you in this responsible task

• Collaboration in various specialist areas such as internal medicine, surgery, and other specialized fields
• Assistance with examinations as well as support in the operating room
• Care, monitoring, and care of inpatient patients
• Professional care of pet owners at the reception and in daily clinic routine
• Execution of administrative activities within the clinic organization
• Support with health checks and diagnostic processes
• Collaboration within an interdisciplinary and specialized clinic team
• Participation in evening, weekend, and occasional night shifts

What you bring with you

• Completed training as a Veterinary Assistant EFZ / Veterinary Assistant EFZ
• Ideally interest or further training in areas such as small animal practice laboratory, veterinary anesthesia, veterinary surgery assistance, or veterinary dental assistance
• Joy in dealing with animals and pet owners
• Ability to work in a team and communicative strength
• Good computer skills
• Good German skills in speaking and writing
• Resilience and joy in a varied clinic daily routine
