The Zentrum für Soziales is one of the largest associations of its kind in Switzerland. On behalf of 28 municipalities with a catchment area of over 100'000 people, we operate with great commitment, at a low threshold and networked in the following areas: Kindes- und Erwachsenenschutzbehörde (KESB), Berufsbeistandschaft, Sozialberatung, Mütter- und Väterberatung, Suchtberatung and Schulsozialarbeit. Within the framework of voluntary social counseling, the social workers offer counseling and support for adolescents, adults, couples and families on the basis of the legal mandate (Persönliche Sozialhilfe). In doing so, the following topics are in focus, among others: assessments in problematic life situations and overcoming personal emergency situations, help in clarifying relationship issues, parenting and family counseling, clarification of social insurance issues as well as budget counseling.

Your tasks ###

• Counseling and support for adolescents, adults, couples and families within the framework of voluntary social counseling
• Clarification of social assistance entitlement and support for the re-attainment of economic and social independence
• Clarifications in child protection on behalf of the Kindes- und Erwachsenenschutzbehörde
• Clarifications and supervision of foster care placements
• Counseling and support for those affected and relatives in addiction counseling
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with involved specialist centers and institutions
• Administrative tasks

What you bring with you ###

• Completed degree in Social Work (FH)
• Professional experience in one or more professional fields of social work
• Basic knowledge of social insurance, social assistance and ZGB
• Independent, resilient and flexible way of working
• High communication competence
• Enjoyment in actively helping to shape a lively team culture
