ICT Vocational Trainer Amt für Informatik ICT Vocational Trainer 80 - 100% The Amt für Informatik (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zürich. It provides comprehensive services in the field of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, the judiciary, and independent institutions. Tasked with implementing the new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, the office accompanies the canton into the digital world. With us, young ICT talents do not only learn theory, but also work actively within a versatile IT environment. In order for them to grow professionally, find their place, and be well prepared for the professional world, people are needed who combine training with heart, structure, and ICT understanding. This is exactly where you come in. You take on a central role in our basic ICT training, accompany currently 11 apprentices through their training, and further develop a modern, practical learning environment together with the practical trainers. Your tasks: Coordination and further development of basic ICT training at AFI, with a focus on well-coordinated and practical training Planning of training processes, stages, and practical assignments in coordination with the educational plan, learning objectives, and operational possibilities Professional, methodical, and personal support of the apprentices during the entire apprenticeship period, including promotion, educational reports, probationary period, and assessment discussions Close cooperation with the AFI practical trainers, the Personnel Office, vocational schools, as well as other internal and external bodies Further development of the basic training concept, training instruments, modern learning formats, and the AFI apprentice organization Construction and further development of the apprentice laboratory, including infrastructure, budget, training offers, and preparation for practical exams Participation in recruitment, selection, and trial apprenticeships in cooperation with the Personnel Office as well as in onboarding and the induction program for new apprentices Ensuring training quality as well as cantonal, legal, and internal requirements Reliable contact person for questions, uncertainties, or conflicts in everyday training life Your profile: Completed ICT vocational training EFZ, ideally supplemented by higher education (FA, HF, or equivalent) Several years of professional experience in the IT environment, preferably with reference to systems engineering Experience in supporting and promoting apprentices as well as pedagogical-didactic skill in the communication of ICT topics Joy in working with young people and a good sense for different personalities, developmental stages, and situations High social and communication competence, combined with clarity, commitment, and tact Structured, reliable, and organizationally strong way of working, even when several topics are running in parallel Interest in modern, practical vocational training as well as in the further development of learning formats and training instruments Willingness to continuously undergo further training in the area of vocational training and ICT What we offer: Scope for creativity in a versatile role surrounding basic ICT training at AFI Opportunity to professionally and methodically help shape the training of young ICT specialists in the context of the digital transformation of the Canton of Zürich Working environment with openness to new ideas, modern learning forms, and practical approaches Reliable employer with flexible working hours, home office possibilities, individual further training opportunities, and workplace in the city of Zürich Classification of the position in salary class 17; the individual salary level is based on professional experience and the brought qualifications Do you feel addressed?
