Business Manager AI & Transformation Job Description You work directly with the CEO and the Executive Board on the most important AI and transformation initiatives of the smzh Gruppe. You translate entrepreneurial priorities into clear use cases, robust business cases, and productive solutions. In doing so, you combine business understanding, process design, data, technology, and implementation. The role is neither classic CEO assistance nor internal consulting without delivery responsibility. You take over topics from problem definition to measurable impact in operational business. Tasks You develop and steer the group-wide AI use case portfolio together with the CEO, Executive Board, and specialist departments. You analyze end-to-end processes, identify friction losses, and design simpler, faster, and higher-quality target processes. You prioritize initiatives according to customer benefit, contribution to results, productivity, risk, and feasibility. You formulate clear problem statements, target images, requirements, responsibilities, and decision bases. You lead interdisciplinary implementation sprints with specialist departments, Product, Technology, Compliance, and external partners. You develop prototypes and initial workflows yourself or together with our technical specialists. You establish a baseline for each initiative and measure usage, quality, time savings, and financial benefit. You recognize early on which projects must be stopped, simplified, or accelerated. You prepare decisions for the CEO and Executive Board concisely and report monthly on impact, risks, and next priorities. You build a network of AI Champions in the business units and ensure that new ways of working are actually utilized. How we recognize your success after twelve months A prioritized AI portfolio with clear ownership, business case, and implementation path is established. At least three relevant solutions are productively introduced and are demonstrably used in everyday life. For central initiatives, robust before-and-after measurements regarding time, quality, revenue, or risk exist. Duplicate initiatives and isolated tools are reduced; specialist departments work according to a common implementation logic. CEO and Executive Board have a transparent cockpit for progress, benefit, risks, and decisions. Job Requirements Several years of experience in Business Transformation, Operations, Financial Services, Product Management, Consulting, or a comparable environment. Proof that you have not only conceived complex projects but have led them into productive operation. Strong process understanding and the ability to cleanly quantify economic benefit. Practical experience with generative AI, automations, and data-based workflows; you can build prototypes yourself or lead technical teams precisely. Sound judgment in handling sensitive customer, financial, and employee data. High personal responsibility, clear communication, and the ability to lead different stakeholders to binding decisions. Very good German and good English; other national languages are an advantage. Advantageous Experience in the banking, insurance, pension, mortgage, or wealth management environment. Experience with Salesforce, CRM architectures, Process Mining, Low-Code automation, APIs, or AI evaluation methods. Experience in a high-growth, decentralized company.
