Street Cleaner

The employer is looking for a:

Urban cleaning worker (reported profession)

Tasks:

• based on work programs, service needs, instructions, and priorities established by managers, performs one or more of the following activities
• cleaning of public spaces (streets, squares, stairways, paths, etc.) using the provided tools and machinery (brooms, brush cutters, vacuums, blowers, and other mechanical means)
• cleaning along the lake shores
• collection of waste, paper, and bulky items and disposal of the same in the respective disposal sites
• cleaning of public toilets
• emptying of waste bins
• surveillance at ecocenters

In addition:

• reports any anomalies encountered to the direct supervisor (e.g.: breakage of road pavement and channels or damaged containers or deposition of unauthorized material on public areas, etc.)
• observes all occupational health and safety regulations and in particular wears the prescribed clothing and personal protective equipment
• provides service in emergency situations (bad weather, snowfall, pickets and other) also on holidays and outside regular hours
• may be called upon to drive service vehicles
• other work assignments compatible with their function and skills may be assigned to them

Job requirements:

• previous experience in the sector from 1 – 3 years
• ease in performing manual work and in finding practical solutions
• ability to use the machinery and tools necessary for the execution of the activity
• spirit of initiative and aptitude for both independent and group work
• orientation towards quality, spirit of innovation, reliability
• discretion and correctness
• good knowledge of the Italian language (at an autonomous level/B1 or equivalent or higher)
• driving license cat. B.
