Berne (and home office) | 80-80% What you can contribute <br /> • Perform random checks at points of sale, via the internet or by telephone • Carry out targeted verifications based on sound indications • Request or order rectifications of declarations • Resolve application problems and write reports for the competent bodies (Federal Council, Parliament, journalists, public) • Follow developments in the field abroad, participate in European and international meetings and defend Switzerland's position there <br /> What makes you unique <br /> • Degree from a university, ideally from a university of applied sciences (wood engineer), or a degree from a higher vocational school (federal diploma of master carpenter HF or ES technician in wood technology) • Very good knowledge and several years of experience in the wood field • Autonomy; conceptual, analytical and solution-oriented work within a network • Sense of organization and good writing skills; quick-wittedness • Tact necessary to interact with all kinds of interlocutors • Active knowledge of two official languages and passive knowledge of the third; ideally, knowledge of English <br /> In a few words To enforce the declaration obligation concerning wood and wood products, the Bureau fédéral de la consommation is looking for a flexible and resilient personality. They will be called upon to ensure the control of compliance with this obligation to declare the species and provenance of wood on the Swiss market. It acts as an intermediary between the population, consumer organizations and the Confederation. The BFC takes part in the legislative process and assumes various tasks in areas such as consumer information and awareness or product safety. It actively follows developments in this matter internationally and sits on various bodies in Switzerland and abroad. In addition, it provides the secretariat for the Commission fédérale de la consommation. The BFC is also responsible for enforcing the declaration obligation concerning wood and wood products.
