The cantonal Sozialamt fulfills the task of personal social and addiction assistance on behalf of the municipalities and supports people in accessing economic social assistance. To this end, it operates eight regional social services in the regions of the canton. The regional Sozialdienst Surselva is responsible for 15 municipalities with a catchment area of 22 000 people.
