Deputy Department Manager Further Processing (m/f) 100% - Manufacturing & Quality

Our client is a successful company in the field of mechanical precision manufacturing in the Basel region. Modern manufacturing technologies, high quality standards, and the continuous development of production processes characterize the working environment.

To strengthen the further processing department, we are looking for an experienced practitioner with sound specialist knowledge and leadership experience, starting immediately or by arrangement. You will continue to work actively in manufacturing, support the department manager in daily business, and take over the deputy role in his absence. Additionally, you will contribute your know-how in quality assurance and process optimization.

Your area of responsibility:

• Active participation in further processing and manufacturing
• Support and deputy role for the department manager in operational daily business
• Technical support and guidance of employees
• Setting up, operating, and optimizing machines and production systems
• Participation in automation, process optimization, and the introduction of new technologies
• Support with technical problems and development of practical solutions
• Carrying out first-piece, intermediate, and quality inspections
• Creating and maintaining inspection plans, first inspection reports, and inspection documentation
• Processing quality deviations as well as deputy role in the area of quality assurance

What you bring with you:

• Completed basic technical training, e.g., as Polymechaniker EFZ, Produktionsmechaniker EFZ, Maschinenmechaniker, or comparable training
• Several years of professional experience in mechanical manufacturing or further processing
• Leadership experience, for example, as a team or group leader
• Good knowledge of machining, manufacturing, and measurement technology
• Experience in quality assurance is an advantage
• Further training at Master, HF, or comparable qualification level is an advantage
• Interest in automation, new technologies, and process optimization
• Strong technical understanding and enjoyment of practical work
• Independent, structured, and quality-conscious way of working
• Good German skills in spoken and written form as well as solid IT skills
