Place of work: Bern The PHBern awards around 800 teaching diplomas per year and is thus one of the major pedagogical universities in Switzerland. Equally significant is its commitment to further education and services for teachers and school leaders, as well as its profession-related research, development, and evaluation. The Digital Transformation Network combines areas of work that play a role in the PHBern's digital transformation. The goal of the Digital Transformation Network is to implement the PHBern's strategic specifications and its vision in the area of digital change. The Think Tank Media and Computer Science is actively working in the field of "Media and Computer Science in School" with the inclusion of digital transformation. It deals with current developments and has an impact on them through its work. Its tasks are innovation, development, and product evaluation. Your tasks <br /> • Support in carrying out projects on the use of GenAI in the education sector • Research activities • Conception, programming, and evaluation of prototype systems • Server administration • Creation of technical system documentation, operating instructions, and other documentation <br /> Your profile What you bring • Enrolled in a master's program or an advanced bachelor's program in computer science. • Initial experience in the field of software engineering and/or AI engineering (e.g., through a semester project in studies or an internship) • Good programming skills, preferably in Python • Secure handling of common tools from the software engineering sector, especially Git • Experience in using GenAI tools, especially Large Language Models (LLMs) • Creativity, critical thinking, and analytical skills • Independent and reliable work • Clear communication • Interest in the use of GenAI in the education sector Advantageous • Experience with data and GenAI libraries (e.g., pandas, LangChain) as well as APIs from GenAI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Ollama) • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes • Initial experience in the field of AI engineering <br /> We offer you <br /> • Diverse activity in a lively university environment • High flexibility in the design of the work organization • Place of work within walking distance to Bern train station <br /> Contact Further information provided by: Sophie Pfister, Scientific Employee (sophie.pfister@phbern.ch) We would be happy to receive your application by 23.
