Project Manager Injection Molding Technology (m/f/d)

For our client, a well-known company in the Thurgau (TG) region, we are looking for a motivated and reliable personality as a Project Manager Injection Molding Technology, starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks:

• You take over the overall technical management as well as coordination of customer projects in the field of injection molding.
• You work closely with the operations management and act as a technical interface to customers and internal departments.
• You plan, accompany, and document initial samplings and create the corresponding test reports.
• You advise the development and technical teams of external customers regarding manufacturing technology feasibility.
• You devise and realize technical concepts for new injection molding tools.
• You manage the existing product portfolio and support production, process technology, tool maintenance, and quality management.
• You assist in the procurement of new tools, injection molding machines, and peripheral equipment from international suppliers.
• You create functional specifications, technical documentation, instructions, and training materials.
• You accompany tool acceptances and samplings directly at suppliers at home and abroad.
• You conduct training for employees in production.
• You design, set up, and manage components in the field of 3D printing.
• You ensure the professional use of all operating resources and tools.
• You take over the deputy role of the Head of Operations in his absence.
• You participate in trade fairs if required and work in interdisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

Your profile:

• You have completed basic training EFZ in the field of plastics technology, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• You have further technical training (HF/FH).
• You have sound professional experience in plastics and injection molding production.
• You bring demonstrable experience and competence in technical project management.
• You possess good user knowledge in ERP systems as well as in 3D-CAD (preferably Solid Edge).
• You have in-depth know-how in the design, construction, and manufacture of plastic components.
• You preferably have knowledge of the quality standard IATF 16949.
• You are a strong-communicating, team-oriented personality with a structured and goal-oriented way of working.
• You communicate effortlessly and with negotiation certainty in German and English.
