The Legal Service of the Building Department is a major service provider responsible for processing appeals in construction and planning matters, the drafting of statutory decrees, the preliminary examinations of building regulations and zoning plans, and the approval applications for municipal decrees. This primarily concerns the topics of planning and construction law, transport, civil engineering, structural engineering, forest, nature conservation, monument preservation, and energy.

For this dynamic team, we are looking for, as of January 2027 or by arrangement, a

Lawyer Construction Law, 50 % #

What awaits you ##

• Mainly handling of appeals and complex legal questions in the field of construction and spatial planning law
• Processing of legal questions from cantonal official bodies and participation in approval procedures for municipal regulations
• Active member of working and project groups
• Representation of the interests of the Canton in legal disputes
• Support of the departments in the creation of templates (legislative projects) from the Government Council to the Cantonal Council
• General staff tasks such as drafting consultations on political matters
• Representation within the team

What you bring with you ##

• Legal studies (lic.iur or MLaw)
• Experience in construction and administrative law as well as case law
• Proficient German language skills and experience in project work
• Great understanding of economic and political contexts
• Flair for the construction industry and technical issues including reading and understanding construction plans
• Strong communicative skills, a healthy pragmatism, good prioritization and sense of responsibility as well as enjoyment of working in a team
