The Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) performs the tasks mainly assigned to it by the Civil Code (ZGB) in the field of child and adult protection. For the inhabitants in the Canton of Thurgau, one Child and Adult Protection Authority operates per district. For the KESB in the district of Weinfelden, we are looking for as of 1 December 2026 or by arrangement Your tasks • Management of proceedings in the assigned cases (child and adult protection) • Legal and social investigations • Personal hearing of the persons affected and other involved persons • Cooperation with specialist agencies and institutions • Drafting and issuing of decisions in the collegium and in individual judge jurisdiction • Participation in hearings of the interdisciplinary composed adjudicating body • Advice and information in all matters of child and adult protection Your profile • University degree or other tertiary degree in law, psychology, psychiatry or social work • Several years of practical professional experience in one of the above-mentioned specialist areas, preferably with experience in child and adult protection • Ability to work in a team and high affinity for interdisciplinary cooperation • Objectivity and understanding towards people in difficult life situations • Strong organizational, communication and conflict management skills • Independent, exact and solution-oriented way of working • Proficiency in oral and written expression • Resilience, assertiveness, flexibility and decisiveness • Residence or willingness to take up residence in the Canton of Thurgau and Swiss citizenship • Willingness to perform on-call duty (2 weeks per year) Our offer • interesting, independent and responsible activity • versatile and varied assignments in different legal areas • interdisciplinary cooperation • active exchange in the team • subject-specific further training opportunities • contemporary employment conditions • modern workplace with excellent transport connections Have we aroused your interest?
