As the future Head of Equipment and Operations, you will procure what protects and supports the police officers on a daily basis.

Your main tasks

• Personnel and professional leadership as well as further development of the department and its employees; responsibility for their initial, advanced, and continuous training
• Responsibility for the procurement of material, equipment, and weapons as well as ensuring procurement, logistics, and supply processes
• Leading and participating in procurement projects as well as conducting tenders within the Einsatzabteilung; creation of contracts and agreements
• Controlling the maintenance of training infrastructures and operational materials as well as supporting and monitoring product lifecycle management
• Maintenance and further development of supplier relationships
• Responsibility for the assigned budgets as well as ensuring accounting, billing, and financial controlling within the Einsatzabteilung
• Leading and participating in projects and working groups
• Representing the Kantonspolizei Thurgau in regional and national specialist committees
• Ensuring logistical support during planned and unplanned operations

Your profile

• Sound leadership experience and enjoyment of personnel management
• Completed leadership training
• Several years of professional experience in procurement, logistics, and operations
• Business administration knowledge; corresponding further training is an advantage
• Experience in operational and strategic project management
• Affinity for IT and digitalization
