The Office des travaux publics is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of cantonal roads as well as hydraulic structures and soft mobility in Grisons. We also take care of the operational maintenance of national roads within the cantonal territory. The canton's road infrastructure includes more than 1'450 engineering structures, including bridges at dizzying heights of up to 90 meters and tunnels that can reach 3 kilometers in length. The challenges that the nature of our mountainous canton brings in both summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. We are looking for the road construction department from 1 January 2027 or by agreement an execution project manager (site section head)

Your area of responsibility

• Technical responsibility for new construction, expansion and restoration projects assigned to the main road network throughout the canton
• Responsibility for the technical management, deadlines and costs of projects as well as monitoring compliance with quality requirements
• Section leadership for projects on the canton's main roads
• Autonomous management of demanding road and civil engineering projects in the tendering and realization phases
• Coordination between planning and realization
• Technical direction of local site teams
• Support to the section head for main road construction in the area of internal quality management

What we expect from you

• Civil engineering degree (BSc, MSc level), project owner or equivalent training
• Very good technical knowledge and several years of experience in the execution of road and civil engineering projects
• Ability to persuade, communication skills and personal initiative
• Taste for interdisciplinary teamwork
• Good IT knowledge (estimating software, MS Office)
• The general working language is German, knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
