You love beautiful things and the people who wear them. You advise with feeling, without being pushy, and you remain calm when the shop is full on Saturday. You are not looking for a full-time position, but rather a task with flexible working hours that can be reconciled with your life. Then we should get to know each other.
For our bijouterie at Hauptstrasse 42, we are looking for a personality to complement our team when reinforcement is required. During holiday cover, during the Advent season, in the wedding season and on market days. A task for someone who likes variety and enjoys being there when it counts.

Who we are
CHALON has existed since 1935, in the middle of the old town of Laufen. Everything started at Hauptstrasse 42 back then, and today our bijouterie is there again, with watches, jewelry, wedding rings, engravings and repairs. In addition, there are optical and hearing consultations a few houses away. Ten specialists, three shops, one team. Many customers have been coming to us for decades, some families even in the third generation.
We are a team of different personalities, young, well-coordinated and modern. What connects us is respect for one another and the desire to achieve more than average. We advise honestly and without sales pressure, and we take our time. Further training is part of it for everyone, even with a small workload.

What you do with us
You advise and sell watches, jewelry and wedding rings. You accept repairs and engravings, change batteries and bracelets, maintain the display cases and keep the presentation as our customers know it. You work with our program Amparex, from customer registration to the cash register. And you complement the team where support is currently needed.
The working hours are flexible. On average per year, it is 20 to 40 percent, distributed according to need and by arrangement. There are quiet weeks and weeks with several days. We plan holiday cover well in advance so that you can organize your year accordingly. Short-term assignments are agreed upon together, and we will find a solution that works for both sides.

Who fits with us
You have completed your apprenticeship as Detailhandelsfachfrau or Detailhandelsfachmann EFZ in the watch, jewelry and gemstone industry or bring several years of experience in the sale of watches and jewelry. You know materials, stones and watch movements well enough to advise honestly. You work independently, even if you are alone in the shop one day. You appreciate flexible working hours and are reliable when you are needed. You treat customers and colleagues with respect and warmth. You speak good German, Swiss German is a plus, French helps.

What defines us
Five weeks of vacation and a thirteenth month's salary apply to us even in part-time workloads, pro rata. What really distinguishes us from others is the way we work together.
We are independent, no corporation tells us what we sell. Between you and us, there is no floor full of offices, but a door that stands open. If you have a question, ask, and you will get an answer, usually on the same day. We know what we have in a person who supports us in important moments, and we show that too. Monday is free.
