Fixed-term First Job - Data Specialist - éco21 Programme

As a Data Specialist - éco21 Programme, you will contribute, through the development of IT tools, to achieving the cantonal objectives of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, electricity consumption, as well as preserving resources and reducing waste quantities in the canton. SIG's éco21 Programme aims to encourage all Geneva companies, real estate owners, and public authorities to implement actions allowing for the reduction of thermal, electrical, and water consumption in the canton of Geneva, as well as reducing waste production.

As part of your role, you will notably be in charge of:

• Characterizing and directing requests from éco21 Plans and Solutions managers (routing bugs, tool testing, feedback, development needs);
• Formalizing incident management processes;
• Supporting teams in resolving their daily technical problems and documenting the issues encountered;
• Developing datasets and dataflows with a view to deploying BI for éco21;
• Proposing and developing BI reports for better operational monitoring.

Your personality and your skills

You demonstrate autonomy, proactivity, and rigor. Results-oriented, you have a sense of service and communication and enjoy teamwork. You possess skills in IT tool development and bug resolution, as well as in Business Intelligence, database structuring, and integrity. A strong analytical capacity and technical project management are also among your assets. You master star modeling for BI and possess good knowledge of Python or SQL. Knowledge of Microsoft DevOps and notions in data translating constitute a plus. Training in the IT field (EPFL) or equivalent is desired. In the context of this function, certain specific verifications may be required.

The salary will be calculated on the basis of a reference annual salary distributed over thirteen salaries, depending on your degree:

• Bachelor: CHF 75'000.-- gross (100% base) distributed over thirteen salaries.
• Master: CHF 78’000.-- gross (100% base) distributed over thirteen salaries.

SIG regularly welcomes young graduates to offer them a significant first professional experience within the framework of a one-year fixed-term contract. The term "young graduates" is understood as persons who have completed their studies in the last 18 months, seeking a first professional experience related to their academic curriculum.*
