Medical Director of Intensive Care

For our interdisciplinary intensive care unit at Kantonsspital Münsterlingen, we are looking for a Medical Director of Intensive Care (Leitende Ärztin / Leitender Arzt) as of 1. February 2027 or by arrangement. The interdisciplinary 12-bed intensive care unit is part of the Klinik AIOS (Anesthesia, Intensive Care, Operating Center & Pain Medicine). Around 900 patients are treated there annually by a highly motivated and competent team. A structurally and technically state-of-the-art infrastructure is available for this purpose. The Klinik AIOS is an FMH-recognized training center for intensive care medicine (Cat. A), anesthesiology (Cat. A2), the specialist title in Pain Medicine SSIPM (Swiss Society for Interventional Pain Management; Pain Clinic B), as well as for the acquisition of the SGNOR emergency physician certificate (SGNOR emergency physician training center; IVR-certified rescue service). You will take over Technical, organizational, and administrative medical leadership of the interdisciplinary intensive care unit Responsibility for high-quality intensive care patient care according to the certification requirements of the professional society In partnership with the nursing management and based on our company values, you will lead the teams and the interdisciplinary cooperation of the intensive care unit You will ensure integrative cooperation with the clinics, the internal anesthesia department, and the intensive care unit at the Frauenfeld location You will participate both in the regular service on the intensive care unit and in the management on-call service for intensive care and anesthesia You will support the strategic and technical further development of intensive care medicine at Spital Thurgau AG You bring with you Specialist in Intensive Care Medicine (FMH) and additionally a specialist in Anesthesiology (FMH or recognized in Switzerland) Several years of experience with corresponding expertise as an intensive care management physician at a university hospital or a larger center hospital Passion for modern, high-quality, and innovative intensive care medicine, embedded in a high degree of interdisciplinarity and interprofessionality A communicative and integrative personality with leadership qualities, strong social competence, empathy, organizational talent, didactic skill, persuasiveness, and problem-solving ability A management qualification or the willingness to obtain one Joy in the teaching and further training of students, assistant physicians, and assistant doctors What you can look forward to We offer you a great deal of individual responsibility and a wide range of tasks with a focus on teamwork.
