Chiasso, Switzerland \| 100-100% The contribution you can make <br /> • For the population: control goods, people and means of transport; prevent the entry of prohibited goods into Switzerland; search for people, vehicles or objects wanted by the police as well as prevent illegal imports, exports and transits • For the economy: ensure that the passage of around 70'000 commercial shipments daily through Swiss customs takes place correctly and smoothly and that no contraband or counterfeit goods circulate • For the state: collect taxes and duties; ensure that annually 22 billion francs (about a third of federal revenue) are paid into the federal treasury, thus enabling the state to fulfill its tasks • Operate in other areas of tasks (e.g. participate in international commitments with foreign authorities and organizations, intervene in civil air traffic security) <br /> What distinguishes you <br /> • Federal certificate of competence obtained after a basic professional training of at least three years; high school diploma or specialized school diploma successfully completed; at least 18 years of age • Swiss nationality or dual nationality (without obligation to perform military service abroad) • Category B driver's license and good conduct • High intellectual and psychophysical ability as well as no hearing or vision anomalies; predisposition to team work, flexibility and reliability; safe behavior • Excellent knowledge of at least one official language, knowledge of other official languages is a preferred qualification <br /> In summary The training cycle for the profession of customs and border security specialist starts on March 1, 2027. Among its main tasks are the correct and rapid imposition of commercial goods, the rapid management of tourist traffic as well as the areas of migration and security police. With the prosecution, the UDSC has its own investigative authority. The UDSC is in the midst of digital transformation. The DaziT program allows to simplify, optimize and digitize all customs, tax collection and control processes.
