Road Maintenance Manager

Your mission

• Technically, administratively and financially manage the Road Maintenance service (works, green spaces, roads, recycling centers, collectors, STEP, forests, beaches)
• Supervise and support the team (10 employees), ensure its follow-up and foster a good working climate
• Plan, coordinate and supervise all activities of the service
• Ensure the maintenance of communal infrastructures, anticipate and prioritize works, in collaboration with the relevant municipal officials
• Prepare budgets, monitor construction sites and draft reports for the communal authorities
• Organize and participate in the Road Maintenance on-call service
• Manage the maintenance of the vehicle fleet and its renewal
• Contribute to the updating of the cadastre by transmitting modifications to the technical office
• Collaborate closely with the fountain keeper, the Municipality and other communal services
• Represent the commune in various bodies related to the field and participate in various commissions
• Master and apply safety standards and the legal prescriptions of communal and cantonal regulations.

Your profile

• Foreman's certificate or equivalent
• Training or experience in works management and site monitoring
• Mastery of road maintenance methods and standards and ability to read and interpret plans
• Experience in a position of responsibility with personnel management
• Sense of organization, responsibility and priorities
• Spirit of initiative and anticipation, proactivity and versatility
• Leadership, interpersonal skills and strong interest in public service
• Driving licenses B, BE, forklift driver and ideally M1 operator
• Mastery of French (oral and written) and standard IT tools
• Residing nearby (max. 30 minutes) due to the on-call services
