Signal Technology Specialist ETCS

You will undertake the technical investigation of malfunctions in ETCS and Class-B signaling systems in the railway sector. In doing so, you will analyze causes and work closely with system suppliers.

Tasks

• Lead technical investigation of ETCS and Class-B system malfunctions
• Conduct root cause analysis of signaling failures and operational events
• Manage technical interfaces to ETCS suppliers during problem solving
• Lead operational analyses and testing activities for troubleshooting
• Monitor system performance and identify recurring error patterns
• Support continuous improvement of ETCS and Class-B solutions

Profile

• Degree in electrical engineering, railway technology, systems engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Alternatively, sound professional experience in signaling technology, ETCS, testing, or commissioning
• ETCS system knowledge of architecture, interfaces, and operational behavior required
• Knowledge of Class-B train protection systems
• Experience in signaling technology and system integration
• Analytical skills for technical investigation and root cause analysis
• Very good English skills and German at least at level B2
