Maintenance and Automation (m/f/d) – Production / GMP / On-call service
Background: Our highly automated manufacturing facility in Rotkreuz consists of production lines with variable process steps, buffer and transport units, inline measuring stations, and automatic storage systems. The plants are operated via an MES control system and all product and production steps are documented. As a maintenance specialist / automation technician, you are the focal point for the support and maintenance of these complex production systems.
The perfect candidate: is a service-oriented maintenance specialist and/or automation expert. To excel in this role, the person identifies as an absolute service provider. The person is a strong team player who convinces through a calm, communicative manner.
Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and upkeep (approx. 70%): Independent coordination and execution of predictable activities, preventive and corrective maintenance work, as well as calibrations on highly automated machines, robot and laboratory equipment in a regulated environment
• Troubleshooting (approx. 30%): Providing first- and second-level support in the event of malfunctions to the production plants, process control and automation systems, as well as the software used
• GMP Compliance: Ensuring the entire plant, equipment, and software lifecycle, from commissioning to decommissioning. Adaptation and creation of documents for operation (e.g., work instructions, maintenance instructions) and GMP-compliant documentation of the work performed
• Shaping the future: Actively driving the digitalization of maintenance (Industry 4.0; Predictive Maintenance, paperless documentation) to achieve radical simplification.
• Teamwork and coordination: Planning of maintenance windows in consultation with production and external service providers. Coordination of spare parts procurement

Must Haves:

• At least a completed vocational training in the field of automation, e.g., Automatiker EFZ, Mechatronics technician, Electronics technician or comparable
• At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of demanding production or in automation, as well as practice in technical support.
• Technical competence: Proven ability to analyze complex issues and solve problems, especially on automated manufacturing plants
• Regulated environment: Experience in the execution and documentation of activities in compliance with strict quality or GMP specifications (e.g., pharma, medical technology, aviation, automotive, food industry)
• Readiness for commitment: Readiness for 2-shift work and on-call service (approx. 5 weekends/year). Local proximity to the workplace is an advantage due to the on-call service
• German fluent in speaking and writing (documentation)
• Team-oriented behavior
• Very good communication skills to ensure successful cooperation with internal customers
• Ability to analyze complex issues and solve problems
• Questioning existing thought patterns and creating new perspectives

Nice to haves:

• Control technology: Sound programming experience in PLC controls (Siemens, Allen Bradley or comparable)
• Digitalization: Experience in handling process control systems and the connection of plants in a 4.0 environment.
• Technical breadth: Experience in pneumatics and electrical engineering
• Systems: Experience in handling SAP or comparable ERP systems
