What is my function? Our customer seeks you as a maintenance technician with a focus on electrical engineering for CNC machines. You are responsible for the electrical diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of internal and external CNC production systems and ensure that everything runs smoothly. In doing so, you participate in investment, machine, and plant construction projects, particularly in the areas of control system construction, PLC programming, and retrofit. You independently perform fault diagnostics on CNC controls and resolve occurring malfunctions in a targeted manner. The creation of electrical schematics using CAD is as much part of your area of responsibility as the documentation of all work carried out. You are ready for regional external assignments outside of production in Heerbrugg (nearby surroundings) and work closely with production to minimize downtime. You have completed electrotechnical training as an automation technician, electronics technician, industrial electrician, mechatronics technician, electromechanical technician, or a corresponding further education in an electrotechnical specialty. You have solid knowledge in troubleshooting CNC controls such as Siemens, Fanuc, or Heidenhain and ideally other systems. You bring diagnostic experience and PLC programming skills, preferably in Beckhoff TwinCAT, Omron, and possibly Siemens. You have experience in creating electrical schematics using CAD and possess basic knowledge in mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Project experience in plant construction or in retrofit projects is an advantage. Good knowledge of MS-Office as well as German in speaking and writing are a matter of course for you.
