Engage with us for the vision of a solidary society, as Supervisor Specialist Department Housekeeping MNA 60 -- 80% in Zürich Uster (m/f/d) Since March 2024, Caritas Switzerland has been operating asylum centers for families, individuals and unaccompanied minors (MNA) at currently four locations in the Canton of Zürich on behalf of the cantonal social services office (KSA). Your tasks * Picking up and receiving the newly arrived MNA * Supporting the socio-pedagogical reference persons in the development/promotion of everyday practical skills (cleaning, homework/learning strategies, handling money/pocket money, balanced nutrition and body hygiene etc.) * Development/planning/implementation of the daily structure, leisure/activity offers * Supporting the socio-pedagogical reference persons in promoting the adolescents in handling money as well as in crisis interventions and conflict management * As agreed, accompanying the MNA to necessary appointments (doctor's office, authority visits, material purchases, SBB etc.) * Promotion of social and self-competence, independence and psychological and social integrity * Support in complying with the house rules and in maintaining a good residential group atmosphere Our requirements * Professional experience in the field of housekeeping, cleaning and/or care is an advantage * Joy in working with unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (MNA) as well as interest in different cultural backgrounds * Ability to instruct, accompany and enable adolescents towards independence in housekeeping activities * Patience, assertiveness and an appreciative attitude in dealing with adolescents * Ability to set clear boundaries and to convey rules understandably and consistently * Readiness for irregular working hours and shift work according to operational requirements * Good oral and written German skills; further language skills are an advantage * Confident handling of common digital work tools * Flawless special private extract from the criminal record or readiness to submit this before starting employment Workplace: Canton of Zürich (Uster) Start date: Immediately or by arrangement Caritas offers attractive employment conditions and an open working atmosphere at the pulse of social issues.
