Connecting art, history and the present -- leading a unique museum into the next phase of development. Between Impressionism, a historic villa and a vibrant cultural site: The Museum Langmatt in Baden is among the most significant private collections of French Impressionism in Europe. The interplay of art, architecture, park and cultural exchange gives the house a special radiance. Due to the retirement of the long-term incumbent, we are looking for a professionally and personally convincing personality as Director 80 -- 100 % by the end of 2027. In this key role, you bear the overall responsibility for the Museum Langmatt and develop the house further together with the Foundation Board. You lead a small team, are responsible for programming, collection, operations and finances, and enjoy staying close to topics and implementation yourself in a manageable museum operation. This includes exhibitions, events and mediation, curatorial collection work, cooperations as well as the further development of the pavilion and the rooms as places for art, mediation and encounter. You maintain funding partnerships, secure additional funds and represent Langmatt towards the public, politics, media and the specialist world. For this special task, we are looking for an experienced personality who brings art, people and operations together and enjoys leading a museum with a special profile with commitment and foresight. You know museum work from your own experience, have realized exhibitions, worked with collections and co-developed mediation or event formats. A degree in art history or a related field as well as knowledge of European art of the 19th and early 20th centuries, ideally French Impressionism, forms a solid professional foundation. Equally important are knowledge of contemporary art, leadership competence, business understanding, networked thinking as well as a convincing manner with funding partners and sponsors.
