Med. techn. Sleep Assistant

The University Clinic for Neurology diagnoses and treats people with diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, neuromuscular transmission, and the muscles. As part of the Neuro medical field, Neurology is one of the three most important strategic focuses of the Insel Gruppe Bern and is the largest neurological clinic in Switzerland.
The Schlaf-Wach-Epilepsie-Zentrum (SWEZ) belongs to the University Clinic for Neurology and is managed professionally and interdisciplinarily by Neurology, Pneumology, Psychiatry, and Pediatrics. Research projects of the SWEZ are carried out, among others, in the NeuroTec in the newly built sitem-insel AG.

What awaits you

• You are responsible for performing 2 polysomnographies during one and/or two nights per week
• In doing so, you receive the patients, prepare the examination, conduct the entire night's examinations and certain preliminary analyses, and discharge the patients again the next morning
• You monitor the patients as well as the recordings throughout the entire night and thus ensure a high-quality examination in both human and technical respects
• Free Wednesday and Saturday nights

What you bring with you

• A prerequisite is training as a Med. Praxisassistent:in or Fachfrau:mann Gesundheit EFZ
• You enjoy working independently, are careful, communicative, open to new things, and maintain an overview even in hectic times
• A flair for technology is essential
• Good oral German skills round off your profile
• Foreign language skills and/or experience with EEG are an advantage
