The Social/Health Department consists of the areas of Generations and Society, School Social Work, and the Social Services with a total of 24 employees.

Your tasks

• Investigation and granting of economic social assistance according to the legal bases (SHG, SHV, SKOS guidelines, internal instructions)
• Support, counseling and referral to specialist agencies
• Initiation and support of integration measures
• Claiming benefits from third parties
• Voluntary short-term consultations and referral to suitable specialists/specialist agencies regarding social matters
• Administrative support for clients with the help of social administration
• Cooperation with authorities, agencies and specialist services
• If necessary, participation in specialist committees and projects of the department

Our requirements

• Degree in Social Work FH or an equivalent qualification with several years of professional experience in the area of economic social assistance
• Resilience, flexibility as well as team and conflict management skills
• Understanding for people in difficult life situations as well as empathy but also assertiveness
• Quick comprehension, efficient and solution-oriented way of working
• Very good oral and written expression in German
• Very good IT skills (Office applications, CMI and Klib)
