Connexio develop is the organisation for international cooperation of Methodists in Switzerland and makes a contribution to a peaceful, just and inclusive society in the thematic sectors of health, education, livelihood security and peace promotion. Connexio hope is the organisation for church cooperation of Methodists in Switzerland and supports partner churches in their church and diaconal activities. Due to a vacancy in the programme team at the headquarters in Zürich, Connexio develop and Connexio hope are seeking, as of 1 September 2026 or by agreement, a self-employed and committed individual as Country Programme Manager Democratic Republic of Congo and Manager Institutional Fundraising 60-80% You will make a significant contribution to securing and further developing the programme in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In doing so, you will maintain close relationships with our partner organisations and actively engage in relevant specialist groups and networks. You will support the national coordination person in accompanying partner organisations as well as in monitoring and impact measurement. In addition, you will build up the institutional fundraising of Connexio develop and Connexio hope. Tasks: • Planning and management of programme work in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in cooperation with the national coordination person • Monitoring and evaluation of projects with regard to their objectives • Quality control with regard to technical standards and programme and financial reporting • Identification and management of risks that affect the programme • Identification and acquisition of foundations and other institutional funding partners • Preparation of funding applications and accountability reports for funding partners and other stakeholders • Collaboration in relevant specialist groups and networks • Maintenance of relationships with partner organisations • Continuous support for the national coordination person • Participation in the further development of the overall programme, its instruments and processes Requirements: • University of applied sciences or university degree in relevant fields with postgraduate studies in international cooperation • Several years of professional experience in international cooperation • In-depth experience in project management and programme management • Pronounced intercultural competence and high sensitivity with regard to diversity are essential • Ability to convey complex content in a clear, convincing and effective manner • Very good language skills in French and English as well as good German language skills are an advantage • Work experience in the Global South, particularly in the DRC, is an advantage • Experience in institutional fundraising • Openness and joy in learning new things and working in a dynamic team • Willingness to travel on business (once a year) for 14 to a maximum of 21 days • Familiarity and willingness to work in a church environment Our offer: • Varied, meaningful activity in a small, committed team • Modern employment conditions and flexible working hours • Support for reconciling family and career • Central place of work in Zürich (near Stauffacher) • Possibility to work from home Working hours: 60-80% Start of employment: 1 September 2026 or by agreement Information and content-related questions: Ulrich Bachmann, ulrich.bachmann@connexio.ch Tel. 044 299 30 70 Interviews: First interviews are scheduled for 18.08./20.08. and 21.08.2026 Please submit your complete application documents by 01 August 2026 at the latest via the apply link in the advertisement on cinfoposte. cinfo is responsible for the application management of this position.
