Counting nearly 1'500 employees, the Département de réadaptation et gériatrie (DRG) constitutes a medical hub centered on the elderly person and is distributed across 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour and Joli-Mont. It handles acute situations, notably thanks to the emergencies of the Hôpital des Trois-Chêne, specific age-related problems, medical rehabilitation and palliative medicine. Located in the heart of a wooded park, the Hôpital de Loëx welcomes patients who require rehabilitation treatment and whose state of health requires an improvement of affected functions with a view to returning home or integration into an adapted institution. The site also includes a waiting sector for placement in an EMS or in an adapted establishment. Assistant or Assistant in community nursing and health care - 80% to 100% As an assistant in community nursing and health care within the maintenance care sector of the Hôpital de Loëx, you accompany daily, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team, dependent elderly people waiting for a place in a medico-social establishment, who require support in view of this change. They benefit from adapted care and, when necessary, end-of-life support. In this capacity and under the responsibility of the nursing staff, you assist patients in their activities of daily living. You communicate appropriately with the clientele, and you know how to reassure them if necessary. You report your interventions to the care team. You perform the medico-technical acts that fall within your competence with full autonomy. You notably measure blood pressure, prepare medication treatments, change dressings and perform injections and samplings. You ensure the maintenance of devices, furniture and perform administrative and logistical activities within your unit. Finally, you contribute to the development of the quality of care. Qualifications You hold the Certificat fédéral de capacité (CFC) as an assistant in community nursing and health care (ASSC) and hold your valid right of practice in the canton of Geneva. You have proven your technical skills in nursing practice and are a professional recognized for your interpersonal ease both with the clientele and with the care team. Experience in the care of elderly people is an asset. You possess great rigor as well as a sharp sense of organization, stress management and priorities. Furthermore, you demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and show a marked interest in the follow-up of elderly patients. You are also comfortable with the care of elderly patients presenting cognitive and/or behavioral disorders. Thanks to your team spirit, you work in interprofessionality to unite all partners around a common vision to develop care projects with a view to optimal care for patients and their relatives. Ease with IT tools is necessary to carry out this mission, as well as a very good knowledge of the French language.
