The Kantonsschule Zürcher Oberland (KZO) in Wetzikon is a lively school that values an open culture, shared commitment, and an inspiring learning environment. It conducts a lower secondary gymnasium (9./10. school year) in currently 60 classes and all Zurich maturity profiles. With around 1300 students, 200 teachers, and 40 employees in administration and operations, the KZO is one of the large gymnasiums in the canton.

The house services department contributes significantly to a functioning school operation and to the appearance of the KZO with its diverse services. From August 2027, an apprenticeship position as a Specialist in Facility Management EFZ (House Services) will become available.

Your training in brief: ###

• Duration: 3 years
• Vocational school: 1 day per week
• Federal Vocational Baccalaureate (Berufsmatura) is possible concurrently
• Qualification: Specialist in Facility Management EFZ (House Services)

Your tasks as an apprentice in house services:

• You repair damage to buildings, interior and exterior facilities
• You maintain green spaces and buildings
• You check electrical installations, replace lamps, locks and fuses
• You maintain the building technology and recognize malfunctions
• You assist with the cleaning of the buildings and their surroundings
