The Swiss Police Institute (ISP) is the competence center for the basic and continuing training of Swiss police forces and guarantees the implementation of a training doctrine on a national level. In addition to offering courses for managers and specialists, it coordinates the professional and higher professional examinations of police officers as well as the certification of public security assistants. Supported by the Confederation, the cantons, and the municipalities, this private law foundation develops teaching materials intended for police training and promotes applied research on topics of interest to the police.

Das Schweizerische Polizei-Institut (SPI) ist das Kompetenzzentrum für die Aus- und Weiterbildung der Schweizer Polizeien und gewährleistet die Umsetzung einer nationalen Ausbildungsdoktrin. Es bietet Kurse für Fach- und Führungspersonen an und koordiniert die eidgenössischen Berufs- und höheren Fachprüfungen für Polizistinnen und Polizisten sowie die Zertifizierung der polizeilichen Sicherheitsassistenz. Darüber hinaus entwickelt es Lernmedien für die Polizeiausbildung und fördert die angewandte Forschung zu polizeirelevanten Themen. Das SPI ist eine privatrechtliche Stiftung und wird von Bund, Kantonen und Gemeinden getragen.

Your main missions

• Operational leadership: direct the Secretariat of the OrTra Police from a professional, organizational, and institutional point of view by participating in the definition of its strategic axes for the years to come. This function also involves leading various commissions.
• Innovative examination concepts: ensure a relevant integration of modern technologies in order to adapt the competence-based examination system.
• Routine tasks: as part of courses and workshops, prepare the experts for examinations as well as the mentors from all over Switzerland for their missions and ensure their support.
• Networking and collaboration: maintain exchanges with partner institutions in order to create synergies and continuously improve the police examination system. This function also involves representing the president of the OrTra Police within bodies and working groups at the national and international levels.

Your profile

• University degree or from a university of applied sciences in the field of training or security
• Several years of professional experience in the field of public security, preferably in the police
• Ability to integrate innovative training concepts with the most recent technologies and methods
• Several years of experience in project coordination as well as in the planning and implementation of training programs is a plus
• Knowledge of the Swiss training system
• Mastery of German and French, Italian is an asset
• Structured way of working, flexibility, spirit of initiative and ability to present complex themes in a clear and convincing manner
• Will and motivation to evolve the police examination system towards the future

Ihre Hauptaufgaben

• Operative Führung: Sie leiten die Geschäftsstelle OdA Polizei in fachlicher, organisatorischer und institutioneller Hinsicht und prägen deren strategische Ausrichtung für die nächsten Jahre mit. In dieser Funktion übernehmen Sie ausserdem den Vorsitz mehrerer Kommissionen.
• Innovative Prüfungskonzepte: Sie gewährleisten eine zweckmässige Integration moderner Technologien, um das Prüfungssystem auf berufliche Handlungskompetenzen auszurichten.
• Arbeit an der Front: In Lehrgängen und Workshops bereiten Sie die Prüfungsexperten/-innen und Mentoren/-innen schweizweit auf ihre Aufgabe vor und stellen ihre Betreuung sicher.
• Netzwerkbildung und Kooperationen: Sie pflegen den Austausch mit Partnerinstitutionen, um Synergien zu schaffen und das polizeiliche Prüfungssystem kontinuierlich zu verbessern. Dabei vertreten Sie den Vorsitzenden der OdA in nationalen und internationalen Gremien und Arbeitsgruppen.

Ihr Profil

• Hochschul- oder Fachhochschulabschluss im Bereich Bildung oder Sicherheit
• Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Bereich der öffentlichen Sicherheit, vorzugsweise bei der Polizei
• Fähigkeit, innovative Lernkonzepte mit aktuellen Technologien und Methoden zu verbinden
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Projektkoordination sowie in der Planung und Umsetzung von Bildungsprogrammen ist ein Plus
• Kenntnis des Schweizer Bildungssystems
