Senior Technical Consultant - Rail Dynamics and Simulation Conception # (m/f/d) freelance/in temporary permanent employment for a project Bern Start date: immediately Reference number: 882519/1 Tasks ### • Conception and structuring of a simulation project for the detection of derailments • Translation of technical questions into requirements, scenarios and physical target quantities • Identification and prioritization of relevant derailment scenarios in cooperation with SBB specialist departments • Definition of suitable physical characteristic values (e.g. vibrations, wave propagation in the track body) • Analysis and evaluation of existing data bases (quality, completeness, need for processing) • Derivation of a suitable methodological approach as well as recommendation of suitable simulation approaches and tools • Structuring of the follow-up project into work packages incl. effort estimation • Moderation of workshops and close cooperation with interdisciplinary technical experts • Iterative coordination and consolidation of results with stakeholders Profile ### • Sound experience in rail vehicle dynamics, in particular: bogie, wheel-rail interaction and vehicle and running dynamics • Good understanding of structural dynamics and wave propagation in the track and subgrade • Experience in the conceptual preparation of technical or simulation-based projects • Ability to translate technical topics into structured requirements and models (Requirements Engineering / Business Analysis) • Experience in the evaluation of heterogeneous technical data sets • Overview of common simulation methods and tools (e.g. multi-body simulation, FEM) • Experience in working with technical expert teams and stakeholders • German: business fluent (C1) / English: fluent (at least B2) / French and Italian an advantage Benefits ### • Opportunity to gain valuable professional experience in a renowned Swiss company • Option for an extension of the project with our client • Individual support during your entire assignment - personal and reliable • You benefit from exclusive access to interesting companies and exciting projects in cooperation with Hays as a solid and stable partner • Professional support in the application process: We give you valuable tips for your documents and prepare you specifically for interviews
