L'École Internationale de Verbier is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated primary teaching assistant to join our primary team for the winter term 2027, from January to the end of March.

VIS is a growing international day and boarding school located in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Our approach, Education with Altitude, combines ambitious learning with strong pastoral care, outdoor education, and the unique opportunities offered by living and learning in Verbier.

The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers to support the learning, development, and well-being of primary school pupils. We are looking for a positive, creative, and flexible person, with the initiative to contribute fully to classroom life and the wider school community.

The role will include supporting individual pupils and small groups, assisting with classroom activities and learning, supervising pupils during the school day, and helping to create a warm, helpful, and inclusive learning environment.

Experience working with primary-aged children is required. Knowledge of French or another European language would be an advantage.

Candidates must:

• Have experience working with primary-aged children
• Be enthusiastic, caring, and very reliable
• Be confident in supporting pupils with a range of individual learning needs
• Work effectively within a collaborative international team
• Bring energy, flexibility, and initiative to a dynamic school environment
• Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
• Hold an EU passport or already have the right to work in Switzerland

This is an excellent opportunity to spend the winter working in an ambitious and supportive international school community, in one of Europe's most distinctive mountain environments.

L'École Internationale de Verbier is committed to protecting and promoting the well-being of children and young people. All job offers will be subject to recruitment checks including the right to work in Switzerland, child protection checks, reference checks, and an enhanced police check.

Start date: January 2027
Contract: temporary, full-time, from January to March 2027

Applications must be submitted via the TES platform.
