Key information about the position:

Reference: CLS/RH/ / Contract type: Permanent Contract at 100% / Hours: according to schedule from Monday to Friday between 7:00 am at the earliest and 8:00 pm at the latest + on-call duty on Saturday according to rotation (1 every 2 months on average) / Start date: as soon as we find the right person / Location: in the heart of Lausanne (M2 stop "Riponne" or Bus 2, 3 or 21 stop "Beaulieu-Jomini")

Following the departure of the position holder, we are looking for a Medical Device Technologist to join our team in Sterilization. What will you be required to do?

• Ensure the complete reprocessing of medical devices, from collection to sterilization, in compliance with quality standards, hygiene, and safety rules
• Identify, sort, pre-treat, disinfect, package, and sterilize medical devices according to their specificity and current protocols
• Use and supervise washing, disinfection, and sterilization equipment to guarantee their performance and prevent malfunctions
• Perform quality controls and interpret technical tests (Bowie-Dick, leak tests, cleanliness controls) to guarantee the compliance of sterilization cycles
• Organize activities according to elective programs, surgical priorities, and emergencies
• Guarantee the computer traceability of all steps of the forward flow process
• Collaborate closely with operating room teams, care units, ambulatory surgery, radiology, and external partners to ensure efficient service
• Participate in the continuous improvement of practices, compliance with ISO 13485 requirements, as well as the training of employees
• Participate in the bio-cleaning of the department and ensure the maintenance of a working environment in compliance with institutional procedures

What do we expect from you?

Indispensables

• Hold a CFC in Medical Device Technology or training as a Sterilization Technical Assistant (level 1 or 2)
• Demonstrate an initial experience in hospital sterilization or within an operating room
• Be comfortable in a dynamic environment requiring reactivity and a sense of priorities
• Demonstrate rigor in the application of protocols, quality standards, and hygiene rules
