To strengthen our team, we are looking for several experienced Copper Splicer Telecommunications to actively support our team in the construction, maintenance, and fault rectification of Swisscom access networks. Your Tasks You are responsible for the construction, maintenance, and fault rectification of copper networks in the access network. Your activities include, in particular: • Construction, expansion, and maintenance of copper telecommunications networks • Splicing and jointing of copper cables of all sizes • Creation, renovation, and repair of cable joints • Assembly and work on branches, cable distributors, and house connections • Creation of new copper connections for private and business customers • Switching, network adjustments, and rerouting • Localization and rectification of cable and line faults • Carrying out cable measurements and error analyses • Repair of cable damage after construction work, storms, or traffic accidents • Assistance with network restructuring and renewal projects • Work in the area of EPG as well as Corrective Maintenance (koUH) • Carrying out fault rectifications within the agreed SLA • Documentation of performed work in the digital order systems of the network operators • Compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulations (SUVA as well as specifications of the network operators) • Readiness for on-call service as well as night and weekend shifts Your Profile Ideally, you possess: • Completed vocational training as a Telekommunikationsmonteur EFZ, Netzelektriker EFZ, Elektroinstallateur EFZ, or a comparable technical education • Several years of professional experience as a copper splicer • Very good knowledge in the construction and maintenance of Swisscom copper networks • Experience in creating and renovating cable joints • Experience with house connections, branches, and cable distributors • Experience in the localization and rectification of complex network faults • Independent, reliable, and structured way of working • Teamwork skills as well as a sense of responsibility • Readiness for on-call service as well as night and weekend shifts • Driving license category B mandatory • Driving license BE or C/C1 an advantage • Good German skills in speaking and writing Advantageous • Several years of experience in the Swisscom environment or with other telecommunications network operators • Experience in the area of EPG and Corrective Maintenance (koUH) • Knowledge of Swisscom systems (MOT, mRIC, CLIMA, or comparable systems) • Experience with mCAN, DSL, and power faults • SUVA courses or further safety training What We Offer • Exciting projects in the telecommunications industry • Modern vehicles, measuring devices, and tools • High-quality personal protective equipment • Thorough induction as well as internal and external further training • Attractive employment conditions • Development opportunities to Team Leader, Construction Manager, or Project Manager • Long-term perspectives in a growing company • Collegial working environment with short decision-making paths What Characterizes You You enjoy working independently and analytically.
