• 21 July 2026 • 35 - 45% • Indefinite duration • Emmenbrücke Your tasks We are looking for a personality with an autonomous artistic film practice and teaching experience in the field of time-based media. You consider moving image as a contemporary, narrative, and experimental field, reflecting societal and technological evolutions. Your film practice oscillates between analog and digital processes and combines filmic means with hybrid media image processes as well as generative ones. An active network in the film or animation scene is required. As a lecturer • Development and implementation of teaching formats to transmit the methodological and technical basics of time-based media, in particular narrative and visual skills (including co-teaching). • Transmission of a reflective understanding of narrative, design, and dramaturgical strategies at the interface of film, animation, and hybrid audiovisual formats. • Foundational didactic support of individual work processes, from research to presentation. • Support for students in the development of an artistic-filmic position and a visual language. • Promotion of a technically grounded and critical approach to traditional and contemporary technologies as well as moving image media - from analog film to stop-motion via AI/CGI. • Encouragement of an experimental and interdisciplinary working method. • Supervision and mentoring of students in the portfolio process. As a module manager • Overall responsibility for the planning, implementation, and continuous development of the module under your responsibility, in terms of content, organization, and personnel, in accordance with the directives. • Lateral management of the teachers and lecturers involved in the module; in particular, ensuring communication, fostering collaboration, and coordinating tasks. Recruitment of lecturers in agreement with the direction of the preparatory course. • Planning and allocation of resources and material means within the module. • Ensuring didactic quality and the timeliness of the teaching. • Quality assurance and qualitative development of the module, including feedback to teachers. • Participation in the professional, organizational, and personnel development of the preparatory course in design. • Representation of the moving image field in the central team as well as within the Design Film Art department. • Active participation in exchanges, planning, evaluations, and development bodies as well as in strategic reflection. Your profile • You hold a university degree (master or diploma) in the field of film, animation, or a related discipline. • You have a current and autonomous artistic-filmic practice. • You have teaching experience in a university of applied sciences or a preparatory course in design. A certificate in university didactics can be obtained as part of the employment. • You are familiar with current methods, technologies, and discourses in the field of moving image and integrate them into your teaching. Your teaching is project- and process-oriented. • You know the Swiss film and/or animation scene, are visible there, and are very well connected. • You are a communicative and reliable personality with strong cooperation and social skills. • You think and work interdisciplinarily and enjoy teamwork. • You possess organizational skills and are experienced in the autonomous planning and implementation of projects and teaching units. • You have excellent knowledge of German.
